Shakespeare's "sit-com" centers around the infamously philandering Sir John Falstaff, and his amorous misadventures in small town England.
Traditionally believed to have been written at the request of Queen Elizabeth I, Shakespeare crafted a story in which Sir John sets his sights on wooing two resourcefully witty married women, who put the infamous knight through his paces. Windsor’s cast of colorful characters season the plot with hilarious results, and young love ultimately wins the day.
Staged outdoors in the beautiful Shakespeare Gardens, Paseo, this delightful romp is a light-hearted work of wonderful fun. Directed by Artistic Associate, Kris Kuss, with a stellar cast including Associate Artistic Director, Lance Marsh, and Artistic Associate David Weber, we welcome you to the Merry World of Windsor!
