Shakespeare Sonnet Slam - Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park, Friday, April 4. Starting at 6:00 p.m. with typewriter poets in the Mermaid Tavern, the slam kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in the indoor theater with a mini lecture about Shakespeare's sonnets, followed by local poets performing 14 of Shakespeare's sonnets. Competitors will be given a list of sonnets in advance and will perform in bouts during the slam.
