I use the imagery of the butterfly to convey my concept of transcending boundaries or obstacles which were either self created or unwelcomely imposed upon us. My work comes from a deeply personal place which I find sharing it to be quite uncomfortable, yet necessary. My installations consist of hundreds of enameled steel butterflies in various sizes and shapes. My work speaks to those seeking comfort; intentionally enveloping my viewer in a cocoon of happiness and child like wonder where they can squelch the perils of life. ______________________________________________________
