PAA Member Spotlight | Bryan Boone

Meet Bryan Boone,

this week’s PAA Member Spotlight artist! Bryan’s work is inspired by structures and systems. “I find architecture, bridges and other big structures captivating,” Bryan says. His appreciation for architecture is reflected in his art.

Working in mixed media, Bryan employs a variety of techniques to create his distinguishable works. “Currently, I’m exploring fabrication,” Bryan explains. “I took a welding class last year and have been busy learning about making art with industrial equipment.”

Bryan began seriously working as an artist in 2006 after an inspirational visit to Momentum. “The experience made me appreciate the art scene we have here in Oklahoma and I wanted to be a part of it.” Since his initial experience at Momentum, Bryan has been invited to participate in the esteemed show as a featured artist three times. Additionally, Bryan’s resume sports a long list of other Oklahoma exhibitions, including the 2014 and 2018 PAA Annual Members' Shows in the Paseo Art Space.

“When I was younger I thought all artists were either ‘starving artists’ or super famous,” Bryan says. “I’ve found there are so many ways to be a successful professional as an artist and make a creative career work.”

Don’t miss the opportunity to view three of Bryan’s newest works, which are displayed in an exhibition called After Hours at JRB Art at the Elms in the Paseo through the month of March!
