Fairy Ball 2017

When: June 17, 2017 7:00 pm – 9:15 pm (past)

Location: First Christian Church at 36th & Walker

The 16th annual Fairy Ball is a free children’s costume and dance event sponsored by the Paseo Arts Association, Theatre Upon a StarDanceSwan and the Oklahoma Arts Council. The Fairy Ball will be held on Saturday, June 17 from 7:00pm to 9:15pm in the Crown Jewel Amphitheater located on the grounds of First Christian Church on 3700 N. Walker Ave. This event will encourage children to move and dance in their own costume from recycled and found materials.

The Fairy Ball begins at 7:00 p.m. with “Flower Magic”, a time for children to put the finishing touches on their costumes by weaving flowers and palm leaves into their crowns and wings. At 7:45 p.m., the StarDanceSwan Fairies will invite children to dance in their own naturally expressive way to Steve McLinn’s original Ojas Music until 9:15p.m.

All kinds of enchanting characters are welcome to join the dancers, including bugs trolls, wizards, and elves. There will also be a special area and time when children and parents can dance together.

This event is free to the public, however donations are accepted to help offset the costs of the activities. Children must be accompanied by their parents. In the case of inclement weather, a rain date will be announced. For more information call the Paseo Arts Association, 405-525-2688 or go to thepaseo.org.
